Aiden Lee

He started playing the tuba in fifth grade as part of his middle school band and has played ever since. He has been part of the Manhattan School of Music’s Precollege Division for three years and has also participated in his school’s concert band. This past summer, he attended the Inerlochen School of the Arts summer program and has been recognized for his skills, as he placed first in Fort Lee Music Hall’s Benefit Concert, the East Coast International Competition, and the NYAIC Music Contest, and second in the NYLIMC Music Competition and International Grande Music Competition.

His passion for the tuba began at a young age when he watched the introduction of VeggieTales, where he mistook a sousaphone for a tuba; however, once he started playing the tuba, he fell in love with the instrument. He enjoys seeing the different perspectives on what is considered “good music”. As he enters college, he hopes to continue playing the tuba and creating music that he considers perfect.
